About Lumlux Art
I am a visual artist, VJ and musician based in Antwerp. Under the name Lumlux Art I bring together everything I make — generative visuals, creative coding, live projection and electronic music. These are not separate disciplines for me. They are different ways of exploring the same questions about image, sound, time and space.
Two Passions, One Direction
I have been sculpting for years. There is something in the physical act of shaping material — the resistance, the weight, the slowness — that stays with you. Now I am gradually bringing those sculptures into my visual work, using them as source material for generative art and VJ performance. It is a process I am building step by step, connecting the tactile and the digital into one body of work.
Music runs alongside all of this. I produce and release electronic music under the name FDR-Sound — working in Ableton Live across ambient, EDM and experimental styles. In October I am working toward my first EP. It is an important milestone and one I am building carefully.
The Tools
For visual work I use p5.js for creative coding and generative animation, and Resolume Arena for live VJ performance. For music I work entirely in Ableton Live, with a focused set of synthesizers and processors including Surge XT, Vital, Serum 2, Valhalla SuperMassive and the Soundtoys bundle.
Where to Find the Work
The blog is where I document the process — new visual studies, music production notes, and live performance reports. You can follow the music on Spotify and Bandcamp. For live visuals and creative coding, explore the Creative Coding section.
Sound and image belong to the same idea. That is what Lumlux Art is about.
